General Information

P-656 is a soft, 1:1, platinum catalyzed, translucent silicone designed for use in special effects or in glove molding. The same base, P-656 B, can be used with different catalysts to achieve different hardnesses, and additives can be introduced to decrease hardness or create tactile adhesion.

P-656 Q (quick cure): 15,000 cps, 20 minute work time, 0:50 cure, Shore A 9, tear 75 ppi, tensile 350 psi, elongation 800 %. P-656-5 A: 6,000 cps, 30 minute work time, 1:30 cure, Shore 00 45 to 55, tear 20 ppi, tensile 325 psi, elongation 450 %. P-656-20 A: 20,000 cps, 15 minute work time, 1:30 cure, Shore A 20, tear 75 ppi, tensile 350 psi, elongation 400 %. P-656-5A and P-656-20A are also available in quick cure versions.

Effect of SI-684 softener

At 10 %: 10 minute work time, Shore A 9. At 25 %: 12 minutes, Shore A 5. At 50 %: 13 minutes, Shore 00 55. At 100 %: 18 minutes, Shore 00 48.
