Dry-finish softener for platinum-cure silicones

General Information

SI-684 is a one part, clear additive that softens specific Silicones, Inc. RTV-2 silicones, leaving a dryer feel for a skin like feel and behavior. It can be used in any platinum cured silicone to decrease Shore hardness, including a gel. It does not leach or bleed like typical softening agents. Recommended for use with P-656, P-727, P-830, P-573, P-537 and P-768.

At 1 %: 33 minute work time, Shore 00 33 overnight. At 2.5 %: 30 minutes, Shore 00 26. At 5 %: 27 minutes, Shore 00 12. At 10 % and 20 %: 23 and 20 minutes, not demoldable overnight, gelled at 24 hours.
