Tacky-finish softener for platinum-cure silicones

General Information

SI-690 is a one part, clear additive that softens specific Silicones, Inc. RTV-2 silicones, leaving a tacky feel for self-sticking appliances. It can be used in any platinum cured silicone to decrease Shore hardness, including a gel. It does not leach or bleed like typical softening agents. Recommended for use with P-656, P-727, P-830, P-573, P-537 and P-768. Added to P-656 or P-727 it also enhances the tendency for a prosthesis to adhere to skin, though it will not give permanent adhesion acting alone.

At 10 %: 35 minute work time, Shore 00 35 overnight. At 25 %: 40 minutes, Shore 00 32. At 50 %: 40 minutes, Shore 00 24. At 100 %: 50 minutes, Shore 00 5. At 200 %: 46 minutes, gel.
